Unpacking after a long trip can be exhausting. The first task to complete is to separate your boxes into the rooms they belong. Start unpacking the kitchen and bathrooms first and then work your way to other rooms, closets, and storage areas. If you need to paint these rooms, try to get this done before setting up a room. It will make it much easier to assemble shelves for storage, hang curtains, and other decorative touches you may want to add.
Do not expect to unpack boxes quickly. Taking your time will pay off because everything will be in the correct spot. As you unpack, break down boxes and pile them in one spot. Throw them away as necessary. When unpacking, it is more important to stay organized. Items that are to be placed in storage areas should be left to the side while unpacking all other items.
